The Coromandel Express (officially numbered 12841/12842) is a superfast train operated by the Indian Railways, connecting <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Howrah%20Station">Howrah Station</a> in Kolkata to <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Chennai%20Central">Chennai Central</a>. It is one of the oldest and most important trains on the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Howrah-Chennai%20main%20line">Howrah-Chennai main line</a>. Known for its speed and punctuality, it is a popular choice for passengers travelling between eastern and southern India. The train usually consists of <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/sleeper%20class">sleeper class</a>, AC coaches, and general seating. The route covers several states, including West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. In June 2023, the train was involved in a major <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/train%20accident">train accident</a> near Balasore, Odisha.
